bike baby deux.

this is a belated post that i must share because i was SO excited when it happened.

(DISCLAIMER: I love my “bad boy” too, but he’s way too expensive for me to risk getting stolen at school!)

so jackson has been asking me what i wanted for my birthday but i never tell him what i want :) or that i need anything, but he refuses to listen to me.
so i told him, “my present has to cost $0.”
& after that he went out & was content with that idea.
but every so often he would tell me it’s hard to find something at that price giving me the idea that he had yet to find something or to get something.

a few days before my birthday he would leave to go home early saying he’d been working on my present & that he’d need more time, but still i thought it meant he hadn’t found anything yet :P

but to my surprise on the day of my birthday he rang my doorbell & handed me this:

(i have a whole collection of handmade cards from him & i love them all, but this was one of my favorites!)

i read the back first then proceeded to open it up.
inside i found these pictures:

he told me he wanted to make me like 20 but
these minions took him like 5 hours to make & they’re so cute :D
my dad was super impressed haha…

when i got to the next one my jaw dropped:

i then exclaimed, “YOU BOUGHT ME A BIKE?”
(because i had been whining that i wanted a bike to take back to SD since i didn’t want my bad boy to get stolen…)

but he calmly replied, “No, I made it for you & it didn’t even cost that much.”
I knew it would be almost close to impossible to find all the parts it took to put together & to build the bike for free but at this point I was way too happy to care :)

apparently he had been going home early “for dinner” on specific days & to “basketball practices” on thursdays to volunteer & a place that allows you to use their tools & to dig for parts. he’s still not done but he wanted to still surprise me on the actual day :D

(oh yeah & so since it was a surprise he didn’t want to measure me to give it away & my second time riding it i fell off & got a nasty bruise on my arm that robyn witnessed haha. but i love it still! :D)
